What is the difference between Valk Store, Valk at Home, and Valk Shop?

Valk at Home is also known as Valk Design, they mainly focus on furnishing hotels, but also other businesses or individuals. The design products they use for this are sold in their webshop. Valk Store was established by Van der Valk Service Center and sells recognizable Van der Valk products, which are used in at least 40% of the hotels.

Do you also have ongoing discount promotions?

At Valk Store, we always guarantee luxury hotel quality at a good price. Our main mission is to make the ultimate hotel experience available to everyone. To achieve this, we occasionally have promotional offers. You can find an overview of all ongoing promotions on the terms and conditions page.

These often have a short duration and apply to a part of our assortment. So keep a close eye on our website!

How can I return my order?

To return an item, we first refer you to our return policy. If you wish to cancel an item, you must report it to Valk Store via support@valkstore.nl.  

Purchases can be reported for return within 14 days of receipt. If the item meets the return conditions, a return label will be created for you. You can attach this to the packaging and drop off the package at a PostNL drop-off point. The costs for returning are €4.95As soon as we have received the returned package, we will refund the purchase costs excluding the return costs to your account.

How can I sign up for trial sleeping?

Would you like to buy a bed, but are you unsure if it meets your requirements? You can choose to try sleeping in one of our Van der Valk hotels. You can submit your request for a trial sleep via the contact form or via support@valkstore.nl . We will send you more information by email.

I saw furniture x in Van der Valk hotel y, where can I buy this?

Can't find the desired item in the Valk Store? Perhaps Valk at Home has what you're looking for. They can be found at valk-at-home.nl or reached at +31 33 2990314.

I have received part of my order, where is the rest?

When an order is placed with multiple products, it may be that these are shipped from different suppliers and for this reason will not be delivered at the same time. You will receive a track entrance link for the products that have been shipped. This way you can easily and quickly track the order.

I have a full loyalty card from Plus, Vomar, etc. Where can I redeem it?

I saw after my stay that I can get a 5% discount, but the code does not work in the shopping cart

Sorry to hear that it isn't working. There could be several things going on:

  • The discount code is not valid: click here for more information about the terms and validity of discount codes. -> link to page with an overview of all ongoing promotions and terms
  • The discount code is not valid on all products in your shopping cart: some discount codes are only valid on selected products. In the shopping cart, you can see if your product(s) qualify for the promotion
  • The discount code is misspelled: it is important to enter the discount code exactly as it is. The discount code will not work if it is not entered correctly. We therefore recommend that you check the discount code again for uppercase letters and punctuation.

Where can I view the beds?

In 40 van der Valk hotels spread across the Netherlands, the beds that are sold in our webshop are available.

Additionally, you can always come for a trial sleep or visit the showroom in Tilburg. This is only possible by appointment. Please contact us at support@valkstore.nl for this.

Are these the beds from Swiss Sense?

Some of our hotels have a partnership with Swiss Sense. This does not apply to the beds in Valk Store. These are our own beds, which we – together with our supplier – have developed for all participating hotels (link to Valk Verrast). This way, we strive every day for the best quality and ultimate comfort for our guests, in our hotels and now also at home.

Are there sample pieces available to view the fabrics?

What is the warranty policy for the beds?

If any imperfections arise, the following CBM provisions apply:

  • For complaints reported within one year of purchase due to manufacturing defects, we provide a full warranty
  • Within 2 years of the purchase date, 2/3 of the costs for repair and/or replacement are covered by us
  • Within 3 years, this is 1/3. - Warranty only applies if and provided that the item has been used correctly (damage due to moisture and normal wear and tear are not covered by the warranty)

Can the beds also be returned?

These items are specially ordered or custom produced. For this reason and/or due to hygiene, we cannot accept returns of these products. Are you unsure whether something can be returned or not? Feel free to contact us!

How high is the bed?

The legs are standard 6 cm, but can also be ordered for the same price in 12 cm. The box springs are 30 cm high, the mattresses 18, the topper 10. The complete bed is 64 cm high (or 70 cm with higher legs). The headboard is standard 110 cm high, but can also be ordered in 90 or 120 cm. It extends 10 cm on both sides of the bed, but can also be ordered as wide as the bed.

Can the headboard be as wide as the bed?

That is not a problem, we would like to know your order number and will ensure that the headboard is made as wide as the bed.

Is it also possible to choose 2x single toppers in the set instead of 1x double topper?

That is not a problem, we would like to know your order number and will ensure that the correct configuration of the bed is delivered to you with two single toppers.

Are there also beds available with storage space?

In our webshop, we sell the beds that can also be found in our hotels.

These are beds and box springs without storage space. However, there are many other possibilities and options to customize the bed entirely to your liking. You can find all the options here.

What is the hardness of the mattress?

Our mattresses are standard medium, but they can also be ordered in an extra firm variant. No additional costs are charged for this.

What is the weight class of the mattress?

We recommend our medium mattresses for up to 120 kilograms. For weights over 120 kilograms, we suggest using our firm mattresses.

Is this mattress also available in a firm variant?

Can we still return the mattress?

Due to hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of these products. Are you unsure whether something can be returned or not? Feel free to contact us!

Is there a trial period for the mattress?

We do not work with trial periods for the mattresses. However, we do have the option for trial sleeping or to view/test the mattresses in the showroom.

Are the mattresses also comfortable without a topper?

The mattresses are also comfortable without a topper (as long as they are not upholstered). However, we always recommend choosing a topper for extra protection of your bed/mattress. Upholstered mattresses cannot be used without a topper.

How many pocket springs does the mattress have? And the firm mattress?

Our mattresses, both the firm variant and the medium variant, have 275 pocket springs per m2. The difference in firmness comes from the foam used in the mattresses.

Is the mattress also available in sizes other than those offered in the webshop?

What is the function of a mattress topper and is it really necessary?

A topper provides protection for your bed and mattress. Additionally, it offers extra sleeping comfort. A topper is not essential, but it is recommended.

Is this topper also suitable for an adjustable base?

Unfortunately, we do not have split toppers available in our webshop. For this reason, a double topper will not be suitable for an adjustable base. However, it is certainly possible to use two single toppers.

What is the filling of the topper?

The topper has a cold foam topper and fits very well on the pocket spring mattresses from our webshop.

It is difficult for us to check which pillow you slept on during your stay, as multiple pillows are used per hotel. The pillows in our webshop are currently used by most hotels and are of very good quality. If you have a photo of the label, we can check which pillow this was.

Duvets

What is the difference between the duvets?

It can sometimes be difficult to see what exactly the difference is between the duvets. We have 4 different types:

  1. Comfort 4-season duvet: this is a slightly thinner duvet than the other 3 duvets.
  2. Suite 4-season duvet: this is a duvet that is very light and airy. So almost no weight falls around you. Good quality.
  3. 4-season duvet 2-piece: this is a duvet that consists of 2 parts; a summer part and an autumn part. These can be clicked together using snap buttons to form a winter duvet.
  4. Ecodown synthetic down duvet: this is a duvet with a down filling. This is very good quality and is found in most hotels. This duvet "crackles" as many people call it. It falls very well around the body and is slightly heavier than the suite duvet. This duvet is found in most hotels.

How does it work with the heat class?

Heat class 1 is the warmest and thickest. Heat class 4 is thinner and colder. So the lower the number, the warmer the duvet.

The duvets can still be returned as long as they have not been slept on and are still in the original packaging. The return cost is 4.95 euros.
